Cross-Brand Dance Shoe Fit Finder

Dance shoes almost never match street shoe size, and how far off they run changes with the style and the brand. Ballet slippers go a size or two down. The Capezio Freeform jazz shoe runs so large a women’s 7 is about a 5.5. Character shoes sit close to street, except a men’s pair goes up two and a half sizes. Tell us the dancer’s everyday shoe size and what you are buying, and we give the starting size in each brand, with the call on which way to round.

Sized for Capezio, Bloch, and So Dancausing each brand’s own verified sizing notes, by style. More brands as we verify their charts cold.

This is not a street-to-dance size converter. A dance size is not your street size, so we start from a shoe that fits the dancer now, apply how each brand actually runs in the style you picked, and send you to the brand’s own chart to confirm. Pointe shoes are fitter-only for a first pair, and the tool says so instead of guessing.
